The Delicious Joy of Dressed Crab
Crab is one of those beautiful ingredients that needs very little fuss. Dressed crab lets the flavour do all the talking. Sweet white meat, rich brown meat, a little seasoning and a whole lot of love. Pair it with our golden frites and you have something really rather special.
The Perfect Pairing Muscadet
Your crab comes with a complimentary glass of Muscadet Sur Lie from Domaine des Herbauges and this is a wine worth knowing a little more about.
Sur lie simply means the wine has been aged on its lees, the yeast left after fermentation. This process gives the wine a beautiful textural richness and a gentle depth that you wouldn’t find in a lighter white. Still crisp and wonderfully refreshing, but with something more to say.
Alongside dressed crab? It is a natural. The wine’s minerality, freshness and gentle texture echo the sweetness of the white meat and the richness of the brown, lifting every mouthful beautifully.
