Our Secret Cinema Club now shows two Contemporary French Films and two Classic French films per month.
Now every Monday every you can enjoy a two course meal with a glass of wine, served from 7pm, followed by a classic or contemporary French film in our secret cinema, for only £20.00. Space is limited so booking is essential.
Films are chosen from French language films, or iconic films with French directors or actors, and occassionally great films that are simply set in France. If you have any suggestions please feel free to give them to us as well.

Monday 4th May ‘Tell no one’
After his critically-acclaimed directorial debut, Mon Idole, French actor Guillaume Canet now brings us Tell No One, based on American writer Harlan Coben’s bestselling thriller. Pediatric Alex, devastated since his wife Margot was savagely murdered in the early days of their marriage eight years before, receives an anonymous email. When he clicks on the link indicated, he sees a woman’s face standing in a crowd and being filmed in real time. Margot’s face… Is she still alive? And why does she instruct him to tell no one?
Monday 18th May ‘Leon’
English language thriller from Luc Besson, the director of ‘Nikita’. Gary Oldman plays Norman Stansfield, a psychotic government official whose actions provide the catalyst for murder on the New York streets. When a young girl named Mathilda (Natalie Portman) witnesses her family being gunned down by Oldman’s team of corrupt cops, she teams up with lone hitman Leon (Jean Reno) to take revenge. Portman made her movie debut with this film.
Monday 25th May ‘La vie en Rose’
A big screen treatment for one of France’s most revered singers, Edith Piaf. From the slums of Paris to the limelight of New York, Piaf’s life was a battle to sing and survive. Raised in poverty, Edith’s unique voice and her passionate romances and friendships with the greatest names of the period – Yves Montand, Charles Aznavour, Marlene Dietrich, Marcel Cerdan and others – made her a star all around the world.
Monday 01th June ‘Enemy at the gates’
Enemy at the Gates opens with a pivotal event of World War II–the German invasion of Stalingrad–recreated in Saving Private Ryan-like epic scale as ill-trained Russian soldiers face German attack or punitive execution if they flee from the enemy’s advance. Director Jean-Jacques Annaud captures this madness with urgent authenticity, creating a massive context for a more intimate battle waged amidst the city’s ruins. Embellished from its basis in fact, the story shifts to an intense cat-and-mouse game between a Russian shepherd raised to iconic fame, and a German marksman whose skill is unmatched in its lethal precision.
