National Margarita Day falls on Wednesday 22nd February, what better way to get through hump day then enjoying one(or two) Margaritas.

Our classic Margarita is mixed to perfection, and our Head of Bar Operations has provided a recipe to create the perfect classic cocktail.

Margaritas are diverse, you can change up certain elements to make it your own, need a kick this week? Make it a Chilli Margarita by upgrading the classic salt rim for salt, chilli powder and cayenne pepper or infuse your tequila with chilli peppers.

How to infuse tequila?

Use an airtight container, combine tequila and peppers. Allow the tequila to infuse for about 4 to 8 hours, depending on how spicy you like it!

Fancy something sweeter? Make a flavoured Margarita by adding in a purée of your choice. Passionfruit, Strawberry, whatever you fancy make you Margarita your one.

 

RECIPE

35ml El Jimador Blanco

15ml Cointreau

40ml Fresh Lime Juice

10ml Gomme

Method: Coat the rim of your glass with lime juice and dip into salt. Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Give it a good shake. Strain into your rocks glass filled with ice.
