Brasserie Blanc

Our sustainable history…

  • news

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of filming Raymond Blanc in the luscious grounds that surround his renowned two Michelin star restaurant – Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Oxfordshire.

We were welcomed by the team who walked us through the wonderful gardens and grounds of the hotel. Their kitchen relies heavily on the fresh produce grown on site: fruit, vegetables, herbs – everything you could possibly imagine and all perfectly tended by the dedicated garden team.  All the beds were immaculately kept with beautiful handwritten notes and plaques alongside the produce to explain the precise way in which the ingredients have been cultivated to create the very best textures and tastes. We also saw the bountiful apple orchard that features 2,500 trees (many of them heritage varieties & the subject of Raymond’s latest book The Lost Orchard) all in all yielding over 30 tonnes of fruit for his kitchen & beyond each year.

We were there to capture Raymond talking about his favourite subjects – seasonal ingredients, fresh food and the sustainable credentials that make our businesses so special. We came away super-inspired, as always when we hear Raymond talking with such passion, and we can’t wait to share all we captured on film.

Watch this space for news on our exciting new charity partnership, even more about our sustainable credentials with a few lovely announcements for our social channels too.

Au revoir for now!
