Clive, our executive chef has chosen the strawberry as this month’s set menu’s seasonal star… “One of my favourite things about the Great British Summer is the berries. I watch the lovely rows of bright green strawberry plants in the kitchen garden like a hawk, hardly able to contain my impatience until they have had a chance to grow fat & sweet in the sun. Just the sweet scent as you lean over to pick them is enough to make your mouth water. Of course, it is July when most of the strawberries really reach their peak, just in time for all those marvellous things that make summer in this country so wonderful. I’m thinking of festivals & wellies, Wimbledon of course and picnics & Pimms – so English.”

Chef Clive has created a light & delicious set menu, perfect for July, both adventurous & full of summer classics. Try summery mains like our vegetable risotto infused with essence of tomato & basil and then sample our wonderful strawberry dishes.
